I have no idea how Jamaica Blue hasn't been rated yet, but I am so happy to be the first to do so! This CBD staple is my go to coffee in the morning. They have very Australian names like "flat black" and "long white" that totally confuse me, but despite the fact that I have no idea what they mean, the coffee is very good and the western food is amazing for the price. My favorite is the chai latte though - not overly sweet or spicy, it is very creamy, flavorful, and cinnamon-y. At roughly the same price as Starbucks, it really gives them a run for their money.
I've been looking for a decent western style breakfast that doesn't cost more than 40 kuai, and Jamaica Blue is it. For only 30 kuai you can get the motherload - bacon, eggs, toast, sausage, grilled tomatoes... they call it the "Big Breakfast". For only 15 kuai you can get a fresh muffin. The only downside is their quiches. They look delicious and generously portioned in the window, but upon eating it I thought it was a little underdone. I was expecting the filling to be more cheesy and the crust to be more buttery. That is literally my only gripe though, because otherwise I LOVE Jamaica Blue. The servers speak nearly perfect English and are super attentive and well mannered. Definitely one of my favorite places to just hang out with a yummy chai and my laptop.
Yum yum yum. Had a great lunch here yesterday. Bclassic is right -- the chai latte is awesome. The eggs Benedict are absolutely delicious, and the enormous brownie hit the spot. Seating is comfortable, the venue is clean, service is very friendly and they print fapiao the second you ask for one. Looking forward to going back!
