Gorgeous date place, for either the lower-end (Noodle Bar) or the more upscale (Duck de Chine). The noodles at noodle bar are so fragrant, fresh, and obviously high quality.

Finally had the time to walk around Pacific and find the nestled area of 1949. We headed to the Western Restraunt "Tavern" and the setting was very nice. However, I thought the food was over priced for the quality. My partner had the lamb which was well done, but lacked a counter balance of vegetables on the plate. I had the shrimp tortellinis which was only shrimp filled with nothing else in a very heavy and not so appetizing lobster sauce. The food was decent, but not satisfying to our high expectations. The desert was delicious except for the mosquitos that came in through the open door way and had a bit of a snack off our ankles.

Came to noodle bar last night. The combo was nice, decent price. Next time i will come back for Toro bar

Delicious Noodles! For the opening comment. Great service and value for money! Ambience is O.K We can't get enough of this place! Like most of those little hidden finds around this great city.I have also tried their beijing duck restaurant(duck de chine).If you're a true foody then to be able to watch your food being prepared, almost verging on participating, this just heightens the senses.

awesome place, great atmosphere, chilled setup, maybe the first beijing duck restaurant that has a chance of tossing Dadong off the premier place in my personal favourite list. Will be back there to see if they can keep up the quality!

This is a wonderful place with a taro bar, beijing roast duck and even a noodle bar. The noodle bar is a wonderful place where you can get a quick lunch and be relaxed. The environment there is just awesome, it's like those chinese courtyard houses, it's just beautiful. The food there is also quite good with a variety of different styles. The Beijing Roast Duck is quite good as well, i would highly recommend this place because of it's wonderful environment and wonderful food.

When I get homesick and need comfort food, I will always make a trip to the beef noodles bar. The beef noodles here is by far the best I have tasted in Beijing, specially prepared by Chef Lam from HK! Plus the simple and easy going environment - sigh. It's a jewel find. Love it!!

nice setting. we had a set menu, was a bit too much. ok you can limit yourself, but who wants to do that after a bottle of champagne. also a bit cold/windy.

This hidden city has 3 distinct restaurants each offering some of the best food in beijing in the most romantic atmosphere one can imagine. From arguably the best duck in beijing, fresh noodles, to mouth watering lamb chops. If that's not enough, you can find yourself a nice cup of espresso with desert in their glass cafe.

We had duck here last night and the dinner was very good. Service was excellent and the decor is very special. It would be a great spot for a business dinner or to take guests visiting Beijing - as well as just treating yourself! I will be back to try the noodles.
