I'd heard from my friend that this was the best hot pot in town, but it was just okay. I thought service, ambiance and food were all much better at Man Fu Lou. The restaurant is bright and noisy, with a very local vibe. It's so busy here that service really suffers, and we had to flag down waitresses left and right to get anything at all -- even to get our hot pot turned on, which they forgot to do at the beginning. The food was okay, and it was RMB171 for three of us and we couldn't finish. The lamb wasn't as awesome as other places I've gone, and neither was the sesame sauce. The assorted mushroom plate was very tasty, though. Shaobing were disappointing -- I much prefer the ones at Peking's Hotpot.
