looks awesome from the outside, but sort of a maze inside since the seating signs do not correspond with the information on the tickets, and then the seats are so close to each other, such that if the person behind you even moves his foot it will hit your seat and disrupt your concentration, sort of annoying,

I have no idea what I just saw and heard. I think it was New Year's Ode to Joy:Concert of the Poetry of Mao Zedong(Presenter: China National Symphony Orchestra )... But gosh, was it good. And the people who performed it were amazing. It's safe to say I was blown away.

I left with an even greater respect for musicians and composers and conductors. There was a little bit of everything: piano, operatic singing, chorus, orchestra. Great way to spend an evening. Its quality from the get go. rmb 380/ticket.

My wife and I went to see "Dance Drama: The Rain of Flowers along the Silk Road" and had a wonderful night. This is one of Beijing's theatre's and I feel one of it's best. The house has a very intimate venue to watch live theatre..not a bad seat in the house.

Great place to support our local artists.......

Spectacular facade, the night view is a MUST see one. Finding the entrance is easy enough, big staircase leading underground.

To explore the gigantic egg, you'll need to have a ticket though, passing a security checks and cannot bring any camera with you (otherwise they'll ask you to outside along with the coats). After that do gaze up when you're walking under as you can see the water flows, stop by the theatre history, construction exhibit and work your way up to the main hall.

I do advise to get the tickets through official channels, do exercise caution with the guys outside offering "tickets".

The decor is as magnificent and "spacious", the ceiling is covered by oak wood.

There is a nice cafe by the corner if you would like to chat, just be careful not to raise your voice too loud, as the wall is designed to vibrate sounds.
