Three days into a three week trip to Beijing, I came down with a toothache that was the worst I have ever had. I found IDC on the internet and came to their office on Sunday (yes they are open on Sunday). They quickly determined the problem and were able to fit me in to what appeared to be a very busy practice. The facilities and staff were outstanding. Dr. Dam was very kind and professional. IDC is on par with anything you will find in the States and price was very reasonable. I highly recommend IDC.

I went to IDC after being recommended by a couple of people. The clinic is clean, beautiful and comfortable. The dentist who was working on me was lovely, as was the nurse. Dr. Dam came in to check on things and asked for an x-ray to be done to check things, and didn't charge me for it! Clean, efficient, excellent service and completely competent staff. Loved it.

I am writing in praise of IDC and Dr. Jaclyn Dam Laute and her team. They are patient, caring, and very honest about their service. They are not salespeople. I came under a recommendation from a friend after not knowing of which dental office to go to here in the big city and I am glad that I did.

The best dental practice I have been to in Beijing since I arrived in 2002. Beautiful clinic, very competent staff and above all affordable prices. Loved the service and walked out smiling. I am joining the chorus here for IDC.

Dr.Dam is an excellent dentist. She is gentle, professional and ensures you understand what she is doing and his method for treatment. I went in for a toothache, and she was very thorough. she did two kinds of x-rays and explained everything. I highly recommend seeing her.

I just went to a dentist for the first time in Beijing. I love this place. I was worried that I would have to "make do" with a sub-par dentist but this place was great. For a basic cleaning I went with the Jr. Dentist (Chinese), who can mess that up? She did a great job. There is an English Speaker there too and the receptionists speak English. I think the English Speaking Dentist is American if that makes a difference.
If you are on the fence JUST GO! it's cheap and you will feel better!!! I love the feeling of freshly polished chompers

After seeing seeing so many orthodontic recommendations and having thought about getting my teeth fixed my whole life, I am glad to have made the right decision in approaching Dr. Jaclyn Dam Laute's team at IDC Dental in Winterless Center in Dawanglu.
Thank you to all those who recommended her and her clinic. Everything that was said is true, and much more! Professional team, very hygienic place, speaks fantastic English, warm and welcoming, VERY competitive prices and best of all, HONEST. It's the first time I've encountered such a service in Beijing after having lived here for 4 yrs. And that's saying a lot because I have been in the service industry most of my working life.

Dr. Dam-Laute and her staff are the best I've encountered since I've been working overseas since 1971. She's extremely competent, has a comforting manner, informs you of the problem and possible solutions and lets you make the final decision. She will not do repairs unless they are needed, her facilities are state of the art, and her prices are fair. I've used her several time now for major work and am going back again!

Good, this one is not far from my apartment, is there any discount or sales activities now?
When I realized I had several black spots visible on my molars, I dove into the message boards to see where I could get a good filling in Beijing. I tried Joinway first because it appeared to be the most reasonable price for the quality of service offered. The clinic itself seems clean, and the registration fee and charge for the first consultation was only 100RMB. However, when I arrived on time for my appointment I had to wait 45 minutes to see the doctor. I was seen by Dr. Jane, who informed me that I had 6 cavities that would all require filing at 500RMB per cavity. Having been raised by an ICU nurse who always told me to get a second opinion, I headed to IDC Dental to see Dr. Dam Laute, who has great reviews on City Weekend boards and elsewhere. The clinic was extremely clean and professional. I arrived on time and was seen 5 minutes later. They first provided a full dental x-ray and then Dr. Dam Laute took a look at above mentioned cavities. The x-ray itself was inexpensive and the entire visit < 500RMB. Her diagnosis was only 5 cavities, 2 were urgent and 3 should be filled eventually. The cost at IDC is significantly higher than other clinics (500-800 for non specialist, higher for specialist). In consideration of the costs, she recommended that since I had health insurance and dentist back in U.S., I could wait to receive care there. I appreciated her honesty in this matter. Later in the U.S., my dentist was able to confirm that I had only 2 real cavities that needed filling. (He had just acquired a laser diagnostic system which measures the resonating frequency of the tooth to confirm the presence of bacteria/cavity). The moral of the story is 1) get a second opinion before spending significant amount of money on dental care in Beijing 2) I would go for IDC over Joinway, as I am more certain of IDC's integrity 3) many dentists will err on the side of over-diagnosis since they are private businesses and each additional service brings in more revenue. I hope this experience is helpful to others considering the various choices for dental care in Beijing. In conclusion, if I'm ever in a situation where I can't get back to the U.S. for treatment, I would feel very confident in choosing IDC as a dental care provider in Beijing. The only caveat is that according to my dentist the 360 degree X-Ray they took is not actually appropriate for diagnosing cavities, you need to get a side X-Ray that focuses on the molars in question. Also, they do not have the laser diagnostic tool to diagnose cavities with great accuracy, but will rely on proxy measures and the experience of the dentist to ascertain whether the cavity exists and requires attention.
