All things Belgian at this Sanlitun brew nook, with Tin Tin posters on the walls, dozens of European imports in the fridge and a rotating selection of white beers on draft. Beijing's homesick Belgians come here for a Duval and one of the fabulous, authentic Belgian waffles made according to the boss' own recipe. A renovation in 2011 has left the newly emerged Beer Mania three times as big, with new pool and foosball tables as well as a stage.

First visit to the renovated Beer mania. Enjoyed everything--Chimay Red on tap (RMB45)--except the music which ranged from country music to thrash metal. WTF. Also, you can order from both Gungho and a nearby Japanese restaurant (noodles and stuff). Unfortunately the Jap restaurant was out of all la mian. Um, right. Change the music policy, Beer Mania, and you've got a winner.

Great beer imports, especially during happy hour when prices come down a bit. 2pm-8pm drinks are 20% off.

60 plus beers available and great waffles, who could ask for more?
The friendly and slightly divey vibe make this quite a fun bar to hang out in. Beers range in price from RMB15 (for Beijing draught) to RMB 50 (for bottles of imported stuff) and range in taste from the sweet to the heavy.
Definitely worth visiting.

As Belgian beer has some of the best selections on the planet, the oddly named "Beer Mania" offers one of the best menus of brews in Beijing. It also happens to be one of the more mellower bars down in Sanlitun — if one can believe such a thing exists.
Try and grab a seat outside. The weather can get a bit dodgy with Beijing summers, but a Chimay is a good way to cool someone off any day of the week ... and twice on Sundays.
It's also surprising to see that despite a small food menu, Beer Mania has some tasty waffles.

Nice atmosphere, friendly people and very tasty ham/cheese toast. You can't go there without having tried the waffles. Good old favorite Belgian beers chilled and served with pleasure. It's a joy spending ur own little thinking time here in the afternoon.

If you like bottled beers then this is the place to visit. A wonderful selection of all that is best in Belgian brewing. Friendly atmosphere and computer friendly.

Beijing’s beer staple used to draw a desultory crowd of beer aficionados and Euros after a taste of home. Now, with triple the space and a new retro design, the newly emerged Beer Mania has a lot more. The beer menu has expanded, with over 20 new imports, while new pool and Foosball tables and a stage for rock, jazz and contemporary musical performances give you something to do. The impressive range of rare beers and bar games make this a weekend warrior’s new hangout. ■ Lauren Johnson
