Beginning August 2008, My Little Mozart Music Studio will be offering group keyboard classes for ages 4 years and older. Twinkle Toes Keyboard Class is designed for the little ones with a focus on developing their ability to hear and then play. This interactive class includes developing general musicianship as well as keyboard geography. Learning music in a group has many more added advantages versus private lessons. This fun-filled keyboard class is a great way to maintain their interests. Kindermusik classes are also being offered for kids aged 6 months to 7 years. All classes focus on growth in language, problem-solving skills and social development. Join in ongoing classes. Violin, cello, voice and piano lesson/class offered too

I love Ms Koh's energy, it's contagious! She uses the Chopin method, which is much more interesting than the way most of us learned. Here, the kids are motivated by the music itself. Their sense of accomplishment and internal motivation is activated by providing REAL songs to play right away rather than memorizing notes or theory first thing (they do learn to read music, but after playing for a bit they start to name the notes).
There are listening & ear training exercises, tempo activities including variable tempos, movement. The class consists of about ten or so under-5-minute segments of exercises/activities . She is also very gifted at keeping the kids' energy level high but still with attention to task- My now 5 year old started a few months ago and loves her teacher and the class!
