I stumbled across this place exploring TIANHE. I saw this Italian restaurant with this odd name. I have been disappointed in the past with so called Italian food in Guangzhou. Most "PASTA and or PASTA sauce in Guangzhou would be comparable to Chef Boyarde. Was I in for a treat! Danny's Bagel is the best AMERICAN ITALIAN food I have had in my 4 brief months in Guangzhou. I will go so far as to say it is as good or better than many places in the states. I come from an Italian background. My Dad is 100% Italian and when I try a new place I will ask myself... "SELF, would dad like it?" And the answer is YES. I have been to Danny's bagel about 11 times in the bast 2 months. Maybe more. The food is top quality. The Cesar Salad isabsolutely great. I have had 3 different types of home made pastas. All exceptional. The Chicken Parm is by far my favorite. It's huge. It comes with a side of pasta as well. Try the creamed Spinach too. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is very attentive and it's a joy to not be rushed when you are ordering. It's clear that Danny, the owner has gone to great lengths to make sure the staff speaks some English and are always very nice. Danny is a great guy and will, if prompted stop over and say hello. He's a back East guy so those of you that want to reminisce for a moment should do so. If you are looking to step away from China for a few hours and transport yourself to the USA, I recommend DANNY'S BAGEL 100%.

I am always pleased with this place. The food presentation is always perfect and the food is outstanding. If you have not tried it yet, your in for a big surprise. I love the BBQ Ribs ! Service is great, some english spoken and the place is very very very clean. No need to fear a dirty kitchen here. The place is spotless!
Danny passed away a few months ago and he is missed by many people. He was one of those guys that you automatic like when you first meet.. He was my friend and I and my family miss him very much. His wife is now running everything and Danny would be very proud of her. She is a wonderful lady, beautiful attitude and doing a perfect job running everything.
There are many so called 5 star Restaruantsi in Guangzhou, but Danny's is 10 Stars
