This elegant wine and cigar bar spans three floors of a stunningly renovated mansion near Dong Shan Kou, built in the 1920s by a returning overseas Chinese businessman (who apparently did quite well for himself). These days, the Mansion is a side-project of a few local partners who share a love of excellent wine and fine art. The outdoor courtyard features sculptures and often hosts art and society events, while the third floor is a gallery with exhibits that alternate every few months. The ground floor has a toned down party vibe (and sometimes hosts live jazz), and upstairs is more Shanghai in the 1920s. Light menu available, but the real draw is the wine list (updated weekly), and the Cuban cigars. Best to call for reservations and directions.
