The Churchill Bar is an Old English Gentleman's Club style bar, complete with Manor-like dark wood panelling, snooker table, chess tables, over-stuffed leather furniture and live music provided by an international singer-pianist from Sydney Australia.
A connoisseur's dream cellar with hundreds of wines, malt and blended whiskies, cognacs, beers and other fermented delights will surely have something to slake all thirsts. A humidor cozies cigars from the finest tobacconists of Cuba, The Dominican Republic, and the Caribbean. Bar bites will sate western or Asian hunger.

Great Bar. Very comfortable. You will forget your in China. But know you are in a RITZ when you see the price of the drinks. On average 70rmb. I had a great Irish Martini. Baileys Creme De Coco... They serve you a complimentary offering of nuts and olives.

This place gets my (double vote) for WORST BAR in Guangzhou
The Churchill Bar at the Ritz Carlton's a terrible place. We were 6 people, and regardless if you're an American, a Hong Konger, Chinese, or British, we universally hated the experience.
Why? Literally EVERY couch is "reserved" for mysterious patrons that never arrive - the staff explain that the couches are reserved by people 'for a month' at a time. 4 Japanese came in, ordered a bottle of 18y Single Malt, and were STILL refused when asked to sit on ANY of the empty 4 couches. STUPID.
Every order for beer requires 15 minutes to pass by BEFORE the beer is delivered You could die of thirst waiting for your beer. Literally, every time we ordered, 15 minutes passed before the beer would arrive. Even if you begged... then it'd take about 5 minutes.
Other patrons' food arrives at your table We just got tired of 'helping' the helpless waitresses and started eating the food they put on the table.
Your food arrives at their table 50 minutes after ordering my hamburger, it arrived. Cold. No doubt, it made it to someone else's table first.
The staff have no clue - and the ultimate insult is when you're forced to pay a 15% service fee on your RMB 1500 bill (for beer which is slow and often forgotten, or your RMB 100 cold burger ... or the 'nachos' which are LITERALLY delivered in a little cup (about the size of a McDonald's coffee cup) and some 'mystery meat' - RMB 65. Don't forget about the hour wait.
The worst 1500 I've ever spent at a 'nice' place.
Steer FAR AND WIDE from this place. It's truly a honey trap.
All in all, it's a complete disaster!
