Flaky, delicious and downright addictive, these Australian-style meat pies are made right here in Shanghai and can be delivered straight to your door. Flavors include beef, creamy chicken and ratatouille. We love the classic Grandfather's Pork Roller, and the Apple Sweetie Pie for those with a sweet tooth. Make your orders on their website.

Description -
Set-up in Shanghai in 2006 by the Australians- Nick and Caroline Major to produce Australian-style pies. We provide premium quality and ready-to-eat convenient options. Our pies are made with premium ingredients and follow Australian family recipes.
They are available in many flavours:
-
Original Beef Pies: A classic beef filling; simmered until the beef falls apart in thick gravy. Our signature pie is finished with fresh thyme, tomato and a twist of black pepper.
-
Chicken Pot Pies: A heart-warming mix of dark and white chicken meat in a creamy sauce with sweet carrots, green peas and fresh tarragon.
-
The Ratatouille and Cheese Pies: Shanghai’s finest zucchini, tomatoes, capsicum, eggplant, onions and garlic oven roasted with thyme and rosemary topped with goats cheese.
-
Pork & Sage Sausage Rollers: Not technically a pie, but a classic on the Pie Shop Menu! Juicy pork and fresh sage all rolled up in a flaky pastry.
Available now at Elders Home Delivery and your nearest Feidan and Cityshop Supermarket.
Look out for our brand new packaging in the freezer section!

I get these at City Shop. The beef ones are really tasty and the price is right. Probably best to bake in an oven (if you have one) but they come out fine in a microwave too. Only downside is they are on the small side. Need to eat 2 for lunch to feel full.

Had the Sausage Roller from Cityshop, quite nice actually. Think it was 31RMB for two fair-sized pig-filled pastries. It wasn't exactly very flavourful (sage, guys, SAGE!) but really there was little to complain about: good texture, nice pastry and overall a feeling of meat-induced satisfaction afterwards.

Is this place still open? Do they do sweet pies for the holidays?

Being from downunder there are times when nothing else but a pie will suffice. Thank you shanghai pie company for filling this void. The meat and gravy is tasty and the flaky pastry although laking in that real butter flavour does the trick. I get mine from citystop or at the australia or NZ pavillions at expo.

I had it at Slice (over a time square). Very disappointed. I can't believe I paid RMB30+ for a piece of frozen junk. I'm not sure if the pie is mis-managed by Slice or this is indeed its usual quality. No way - who are these people giving 5 stars???

I bought a pie from CityShop. Delicious!
Quick questions: how healthy are the pies? And what's the recipe for the crust (or is that a trade secret)?

I am not a big fan of pies, but I have to admit your meat pies are to die for! Excellent meat and very generous portion too. Glad to see you back in brand new packaging, keep up the good work!

Great pie, so authentic, yummy, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Its fulfilling till the last bite. Just warm it on the oven and have it for afternoon tea. I have it for breakfast on the way to subway and it makes my days brighter:)
Go Shanghai Pie...I love you.

Ooops I forgot to click the stars..

I love your pies! My favorite is the cheese steak one! The best way to enjoy is to reheat by using an oven. Also one pie is actually really filling. Pie + beer and salad is just a perfect & easy dinner.

Your pies are yummy!!! Found them in the City Shop in Huai Hai Lu- fantastic new look by the way. I stock them in my freezer for those days when I don't feel like eating out... great with salad and a cold beer! :)

Hi Nicky, Our pies have been off themarket for a little while now, as we had a fire in our factory - but it's all sorted and our pies will be available again from May 30th. YOu'll be able to find them in City SHop or the other outlets listed on our website.

I'm a big fan of savory pie and i'd love to try these. I work around Jinmao. The building have Jamica Blue coffe shop there ( I found in their website that pies are sold over there). And I made efforts... everytime I looked for pie but so far no luck. I asked the staff if they have pie from SH pie, they didn't seem to understand what I say.

Placed an order via internet (min RMB 300 for delivery) and was nicely surprised with the quality of the product. Everything came as scheduled (even the delivery was within 15 minutes of stipulated time). Pies were great - fresh and after popping into my toaster over, was delicious. Only drawback is the price....RMB 35 for a pie is quite stiff. But will probably order again as there's no one else in town doing pies as Aussie as them. Keep it up (...but maybe you can think about some promotional offer that offers a discount?)

It's Movember time again - or rather, it was and since it's the end of the month - the boys are ready to shave off their mo's. That also means it's time for our annual pie eating challenge: http://www.cityweekend.com.cn/shanghai/events/35514/

Though not a tradition in Shanghai (or in Australia, for that matter), a delicious pumpkin pie can be ordered through the Shanghai Pie Company which has taken it upon themselves to whip up more than enough pies (RMB138 for one, RMB250 for two) to go around. This beautifully spiced pumpkin filling, encased in a soft, buttery crust, is the perfect way to top off a Thanksgiving feast. Serve it hot or cold, with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you find yourself wanting more (we did), they'll keep making them through Christmas if they get enough pre-orders.

Bland, bland, bland! I was super-excited to find these, and finally located at Feidan. Tried the sausage rolls, the beef pie, and the chicken pie. All were super boring. Has the company ever heard of salt? Primary reason to get them is to have something in the freezer for those days you don't want to cook and are too hungry to order in. Also, 18 minutes wasn't enough time to heat through. 30 minutes is more like it. In which case... may as well get delivery!
