I was disappointed with the overall food quality on a recent visit. The dolmades and spanakopita both seemed to have been hanging around in the kitchen for too long, and the spinach dish was over salted. The best dishes were the eggplant dip, deepfried zucchini balls and the beef souvlaki. With only one main dish, shared metzes and wine/beer the cost was around RMB160 per person.

I have eaten there at least 5 times at the this location. Each time the food was excellent and the service was good. I am sure the below experience was because of the holiday staff. Plus, who would wait an hour and a half for one course. Especially in Shanghai, you have to manage the waiter too!

I am really disappointed in Greek Taverna near dongping lu . Very bad stuff ,especially waiters, very unprofessional ,impolite. Now about the food : we ordered 5 plates of Gyros and it was awful. After waiting 1.5 hours they gave us some disgusting Gyros , with one plate having some few meat the other one only 4 slices of fries and so on . Greek salad also was ridiculous. Anyways the manager was very polite ,very nice person ,after he saw this things happening he fixed all the problems!!!! Thank you , i hope when next time i visit your Taverna everything will be fine !

Amazing place! They're still new and working some kinks out. But the food is outstanding...and the decor and vibe take you to a little Greek Island somewhere on the Aegean sea.
Greek Taverna is the good stuff. Very filling dishes. Enjoyable atmosphere. And a restaurant decor that is bright and fun.
