This space has a bunch of beautiful pool tables over two floors but specializes in American food and good cocktails. It used to be called Racks, but is currently in an evolutionary process. Check back soon for info on the food.

Massé is a restaurant/lounge located on the Jinxian lu, one of Shanghai’s bustling lifestyle and shopping street. Know it?
Walking distance from Metro line 1 Shaanxi Station, it is across the street from Osteria and Citizen Cafe, just up from Pier 39 and Southern Barbarian and around the corner from Maison Pourcel. (If you're old school, it’s on the same little street where the late Kada/DVD Shop was located).
Surrounded by restaurants, cafes, boutiques in a true lifestyle element, our new location feels more naturally us. They say you have to walk before you can run. We prefer to strut or swagger.
Look Up...Yes, there on the 5th and 6th floor. Join us as we launch the new terrace with sound wall so we’re open late, or soak it up in the sunlit patio. New chef, new menu, relaxed dining atmosphere.
With a outdoor terrace overlooking the French concession, those who prefer the open air will definitely find enjoy a meal with friends much more comfortable…or with Shanghai’s unpredictable weather, our glass enclosed atrium will give all the sunlight while protected from the rain or harsh UV.
In terms of bar entertainment, we’re showing 24 hour worldwide sports, 4 billiard tables, darts, foosball and shuffleboard. All bundled into one location we offer a unique, fun and relaxing environment to get away from Shanghai’s big city life. With comfortable seating, and two fully stocked bar serving well poured cocktails.

Just went for the first time, and I must say you get an excellent value for your money. We had the Weekend brunch (55 元) which comes with bread of some sort (pancake, grilled cheese, or toast), meat, eggs, baked beans, grilled tomato, and Home-style grilled potatoes. In my opinion the food was quite tasty. One of my friends got the ultimate burger, which he said was one of the best meals he has had since arriving here in Shanghai. The area is also really cool, you can sit on the 6th floor patio and see the surrounding neighborhood while eating your food. There are also a number of pool tables on both floors which is always good fun. To make things better, they have a ton of specials. For example Daily Happy Hour with 2 for 1 Drinks from 2-8PM and buy 5 get 1 free all the time. They also have 50 元 Burger and Beer days, as well as buy one get one Steak days. After my first experience here, my friends and I have decided we will definitely be returning in the future!

This is one of my favorite places to stop by for a chill night in shanghai. It has awesome pool tables and a legit dart setup. Drinks are decently priced and the food is quite good. There burger is above standard and they have many deals going on each night. If your looking for a chill night with some buddies this is definitely a place to go. Also the weekend brunch is delicious!!! The grilled cheese is perfect!

Don't make the mistake of coming here for brunch - I'm assuming it is more of an evening place. A friend wanted to check this place out so we met up on the rather nice balcony. However, by the time my Eggs Benedict arrived the potatoes were room temperature and the eggs were cold. Perhaps if the coffee I'd ordered had been worth consuming that wouldn't have been so bad.

Went here last week and met the owner and his crazycool wife. Awesome spot to hang with friends, shoot some pool, and kick back with some tasty drinks. Crowd was thin, but I had a blast. Definitely recommended.

Much improved over the original. Sure the crowds have thinned and music volume has decreased but.... oh yeah those are good things. This is a great place to go after work with some friends. Empty tables most of the time ensure you actually get to play some pool. Good happy hour specials and I've actually had some fairly good dry martinis here. Owners are nice and friendly, staff is ready and waiting to ensure your glass doesn't go empty

Racks opened a pool hall in Xintiandi a couple of years ago. The pool was soon supplanted by dice rolling and balling, as owners transformed the place into a club, booking heavyweight DJs and MCs (Mobb Deep; Nas; who was a no-show). Racks then collapsed under a weight of licensing and financial problems. The new bar is a world away. Just four immaculate tables in a two-floor loft space on one of Shanghai's nicest streets. The walls are exposed concrete, the view is pleasant and the drinks are reasonable (beers from RMB30). No one's reaching for the stars; this is just a cool, inviting space to go for drinks with a bunch of friends. Let's just hope they don't start booking Fatman Scoop.[HTML_REMOVED] [HTML_REMOVED]Reviewed in October 2010[HTML_REMOVED].[HTML_REMOVED] [HTML_REMOVED]Our rating: 3/5[HTML_REMOVED][HTML_REMOVED]
