Commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, the Prime Minister will be attending the Opening Ceremony on April 31. Hanoi celebrates its 1,000th anniversary this year, hence the theme “1,000 years of Hanoi-Thang Long” (Thang Long is Hanoi’s historical name). The 1,000 square meter pavilion is made of bamboo, a traditional material used in Vietnam, which naturally reduces heat from the sun. Happy 1,000th birthday!
