Russia Pavilion

Twelve white, fairy-tale-like towers of varying height and shape stand tall on this 6,000 square meter plot, symbolizing Russia’s pride in its growing metropolises while paying respect to its ethnic roots. The modern structural designs, trimmed with ethic patterns, are painted in white, gold and red, recollecting images of historical buildings. In the middle of the towers “floats” a cube symbolic of civilization and its constant evolution. The cube is made of a reflective material that changes along with the movement of the sky, towers, greenery and people during the day. At night a spectacular changing light-color-dynamic screen is activated.

Yeah, the lines were long when I visited, more than an hour. Word has gotten out that this is one of the better pavilions and it's also somewhat centrally located on the east side. Russia should be recognized for the big effort they put into this, though. The fairlyland theme is really a pretty cool visual experience. It relies more on overall design, lighting and decoration than just some movie screen that you sit in front of. I'm getting a bit tired of the pavilion movies...

Need review here! The day that I was there, the lines were so long that there was a public announcement saying that they closed off the pavilion (to further visitors) b/c the wait was over 3.5 hours!!!

If you are looking for something different, this is what you must try. Maybe you will find it totally awful or you will adore it.
You enter in a fairy tale world. Imagine huge huge flowers, huge houses, huge huge plants, water...lots of colors, lots of curvy forms, walking around a circular magic world...
You could tell me, it has nothing to do with Russia or better city!!! ok I agree but at least in showing some wheat at first floors and green/fantastic color world after, they remember us that Russia is not only winter and siberia and old communist stereotype...Yes I know you can say it is Russian kitch but It has its charm ...
