Smallest Pavilion - biggest message! Spinning Wheels is the Expo pavilion of Odense, the birthplace of the famous story teller Hans Christian Andersen. Odense is renowned for its bicycle culture and urban planning. Odense is modelled as a liveable city, taking the special needs of the big bicycling population into consideration and integrating these in the actual planning of the city. At the Shanghai Expo, Odense's 500 m2 pavilion demonstrates the several aspects of the Danish bicycle culture and the innovative urban planning initiatives of Odense. As an important aspect for visitors the pavilion seeks to actively engage the visitors in the simulated Odensian bicycle environment by lending out different kinds of bicycles, fashionable bicycle helmets and letting everyone have a go at the Odense bicycling culture.

Went to the Urban area yesterday, and must say this pavillon was the most fun. Especially the biking path was very "renao". Watch out for locals trying danish bikes for the first time though:)

WOW...what a nice pavillion. Nice to visit a pavillion where there are some fun activities. And a nice contribution to the theme about sustainable city planning. Definitely worth a visit.

Worth a visit. Fun and friendly staff and it seems like they only having European staff. The biking lane is a cool activities, Odense is for sure among the top pavilion in the Puxi EXPO side.
